[1] Overview
==============================================================================

Irem's Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 2: Itetsuita Kiokutachi (a.k.a. Raw Danger)
is an action adventure that plays like the original Zettai Zetsumei Toshi
(a.k.a. Disaster Report, a.k.a. SOS: The Final Escape). Although it has more
slowdown and inferior controls, it features multiple playable characters
whose actions can affect each other's paths.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[1.1] Story
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Christmas Eve of 2010 marks the beginning of Tomisaka City's official
realization of Geo City, a state-of-the-art metropolis that exists both
above and below ground. However, it also marks the coming end of the
residents' home and many of their lives, because a series of catastrophic
earthquakes and floods will soon destroy the city. Caught within this chaos
are several ordinary individuals, whose attempts to help others survive
through the collapsing buildings and sinking streets will make them heroes.
Here are their stories; here are the memories of their journeys through that
 freezing winter nightmare.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[1.2] Characters
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kazuya Shinohara, 22 years of age (CV: Masayuki Watanabe)
 A fourth-year college student, and a waiter.

Haruka Fujimiya (CV: Ayumi Furuyama)
A third-year college student, and a coworker of Kazuya. Her father, Toshio,
is the head of the Fujimiya Group.

Yuko Saeki, 20 years of age (CV: Roko Akai)
A second-year college student who has come to Tomisaka City to meet her
older brother, Satoshi, who is a research scientist.

Toru Aoyama (CV: Hisafumi Oda)
Governor Tanabe's assistant. He stutters a lot, but he seems to be a
very nice guy. (Can you say Sho Ichinose?)

Akira Tsuge, 35 years of age (CV: Ryuzo Hasuike)
A taxicab driver. He smokes and drinks coffee. A lot.

Ryoko Honda (CV: Komatsuna Sakato)
 A journalist.

Masayuki Sudo (CV: Hirofumi Yamamoto)
Another journalist. The coming events won't be new to this mighty veteran
 reporter. Man, not again.

Kana Nishizaki, 15 years of age (CV: Megumi Kobayashi)
A first-year high school student. She is often bullied by Ayano Sakurazaka,
another student at the same school.

Natsumi Higa (CV: Kanako Tateno)
A young, friendly teacher at Kana's school. She has quite a past, too.

Yuji Hayami (White Coat Guy), 26 years of age (CV: Shougo Kawashima)
Satoshi's colleague and friend. At the beginning of the game, he is
suffering from amnesia and has no recollection of his personal history.

Saya Naruse (CV: Mayuko Tanaka)
 Satoshi's girlfriend.

Geo-kun
 Geo City's cuddly little mascot.

The Jewelry Thief
A creepy lady who goes around stealing precious jewels in the city,
taking advantage of the situation. Apparently, she hasn't changed
much from before. In this game, if all the main playable characters
each obtain a gem from her, something special will become available.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[1.3] Controls
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Movement Stick (Left Stick) - Walk (relative to the screen).
Hold the Dash Button while pressing this to run.

Camera Stick (Right Stick) - Move the camera.

Action Button (Circle) - Perform a context-sensitive action, like taking
an item, talking to a person, or opening a door.

Dash Button (X) - Run instead of walk while pressing the Movement Stick.
When hanging from a ledge, press this to drop. When driving a vehicle,
 press this to accelerate.

Shout Button (L1) - Shout. Shouting can be used to gain the attention
 of others.

Brace Button (R1) - Brace, either by crouching or by holding onto something.
Bracing can prevent characters from falling over during heavy quakes, from
getting knocked away by strong waves, and from sliding on slippery flooring.

Look Button (Triangle) - Look from the character's point of view.

Camera Reset Button (L2) - Reset the camera's position behind the character.

Map Button (R3) - View the map of the current area.

Subscreen Button (Square) - Access the Subscreen, which includes the
Item Menus, the character-specific special ability option, and various
 other things.

Pause Button (Start) - Pause.

Skip Button (Select) - Skip certain movies that have already been viewed
 in previous sessions.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[1.4] General Tips
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 - Use the save points (sources of heat) and heat-restoring items to keep
up the body temperature, or else the characters will slow down and then
eventually slump over. (The characters in this game die from hypothermia
faster than in real life.) The difficulty setting mainly affects the rate
at which the characters lose heat.

 - Wetness will cause the characters to lose heat, even if they are at an
indoor area. Drying off at save points is pretty much the only way to remove
wetness, but using an umbrella can reduce the rate at which the characters
get soaked. Heavier clothing can also protect them from dry but cold weather.

 - The nastier the weather, the faster the characters get soaked just by
staying outdoors. Relatively dry weather, including very light snowfall,
means virtually no wetness (and a perfect time to explore). Rain is
fairly bad. Heavy snowstorms are super bad.

 - The characters' jumping distance is directly related to their running
speed, which is determined by their temperature.

 - A frying pan is required to cook food at save points. Eating food will
make the characters gain heat for a short period of time, even if they are
completely soaked and are wading through a snowstorm.

 - Be sure to find bigger backpacks and waist pouches, which can increase the
carrying capacity. Equipped items (like backpacks and clothes that are worn
and umbrellas that are held) won't take up any space.

 - The items put inside a recycle container can be retrieved by other
characters when they come to the same container. The garbage collector
serves as a mobile version of the recycle containers. The garbage collector
and each recycle container can hold a limited amount of items.

 - Some areas can be accessed only by using key items from other characters'
stories. For example, if Kazuya transfers the Crank Handle to Yuko (via the
garbage collector), she can use it to gain entry to a shop on her path.

 - If it's Game Over, the character may restart from a checkpoint (usually
the most recent save point that has been used). There doesn't seem to be
any penalties for getting wasted and then continuing.

==============================================================================
[2] Strategies
==============================================================================

This quick walkthrough is mainly designed to help the characters through the
general course of events. For the purposes of this document, we're gonna have
the characters mostly stick to being nice guys and gals. (In general, the
first choice on the menus is good or positive, and the choices get nastier
or weirder as they go down. This is usually, but not always, the case.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.0] Tutorial
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the Tutorial, Kazuya goes to the disaster training center. The exercises
there cover general movement, save points, items, bracing, and other
important aspects of the game. To complete the exercises, follow the
lovely instructor's directions and receive the stamps from Geo-kun.
Kazuya will also earn a bonus compass after he finishes all the exercises.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.1] Kazuya's Story
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kazuya's story consists of classic Zettai Zetsumei Toshi gameplay,
where the dude should make like a gentleman and rescue a lady from
 one disaster after another.

Kazuya's special ability is to get free heat recovery from Haruka. He can
do this only when she is traveling close to him and when he is looking worn
out. (If he tries to do this when he's feeling fine, Haruka will think he
is starting to get weird on her.)

Party - Before Disaster, Panic, and Lots of Death:

Unknown to Kazuya (and 99 percent of the rest of the city's population),
big trouble is brewing. For now, he just has to do his job.

First, listen to the boss, the Chief Waiter, and go to the kitchen. Take
the cart and bring it to the central table (the one with the tree), where
Ms. Fujimiya is waiting. Why not help Haruka set the table? Afterward,
help her bring the empty plates back to a table at the side corridor.
(Be sure to walk.) For the kneeling woman, talk to her twice from the
front, and then help her find her missing contact lens. (It's a bit in
front of her; just keep pressing the Action Button while walking around.)

Kazuya's next task is to serve Governor Tanabe (the yellow suit guy).
The man wants some mineral water, so go back to the kitchen. Talk to the
Chief Chef (the guy speaking on the phone) to have the water made ready on
the front table, behind him. (At this point, Kazuya can also talk to another
chef, who is walking around, to get a request to help bring him his recipe.
It can be found in locker F-5 in the men's locker room.)

Kazuya should bring the water outside to Tanabe. (He can also meet Ms. Honda
before doing so.) After Tanabe gets his water, Kazuya and the rest of the
staff will gather for an emergency meeting outside the kitchen. Kazuya has
probably already noticed that water is seriously leaking into the service
corridors, and the staff is given orders to begin evacuating the place.

Party - Evacuation Time:

Time to get prepared. Kazuya should open his locker (A-5) and take his
backpack. Go out through the back door in the rear corridor, reaching
the lobby. Talk to the two groups of people there to get them to leave,
and then go to the men's washroom. Kazuya will see Toru (the governor's
assistant) dealing with some nasty plumbing problem.

Now it's time for Kazuya himself to escape. (After leaving the washroom,
he can shout through the shutter to get the Chief Waiter's attention.)
Crawl through the large cracks in the wall to enter the kitchen.

Party - Haruka Get:

If Kazuya goes to the lobby now, he will learn that Haruka hasn't caught up
with the rest yet. Back in the rear corridor, check the ladies' locker room
to hear Haruka being trapped inside, because of the jammed door. Move back
toward the kitchen's direction, and bring the stepladder to the locker room.
However, when Kazuya tries to use it to climb through the hole in the wall,
he will see exposed wires. Go toward the kitchen's direction again. Near
where the stepladder has been originally found, there is a fuse box.
Use it to turn off the electricity, and then immediately run toward the
stepladder, because the corridor is about to become flooded. (To avoid
getting knocked down by the first wave, Kazuya can grab onto one of the
 tables at the sides.)

Inside the locker room, pick up the Cellphone (it belongs to Haruka) and
use its light to better see things. Shout to find out that Haruka has hidden
herself inside a locker, so open it to free her. Check the partially toppled
row of lockers, and then ask her to help push it over, revealing a large
crack that leads back to the kitchen. In the kitchen, Haruka's dad will call
her via her phone. After everything is explained, he will ask Kazuya to help
 bring his daughter to safety.

Party - Reaching the Surface:

Go out to the lobby, and cross the sections of rushing water (using
the furniture as a shield, preferably by grabbing onto them). Soon,
the Chief Waiter and others can be seen escaping along a higher floor.
At the escalators, Kazuya will have to turn back a bit and haul Haruka
along through the rising water (which is too much for her to handle alone,
for some reason). At the top of the escalators, follow the narrow ledges,
and take the Megaphone. Go back past the escalators, pull the white sheet
away, and use the Megaphone (shouting through it) to call some people on
the other side, so they will push aside a crate.

With the white sheet and the crate out of the way, crawl through the
construction materials. Find the Jerry Can at one end, and use it on
the heater to activate the save point. Now talk to the Chief Waiter
to figure out where to go next. Grab the railing and get across the
rushing water. Climb up the fallen structure, jump onto the dangling
beam (while watching out for the spurting water), and then jump onto
the floor ahead. Take the Ladder from under a table, and use it on the
metal protrusions, tying it there and letting the others climb up more
easily. Well, except for those who get caught by the rising waves.

So much for the Chief Waiter. Kazuya can cry along with Haruka if he likes,
but eventually he will have to go over to help the injured emergency worker,
who has the key to activating the lift. Another earthquake will complicate
things, though, so while carrying the injured guy, Kazuya needs to grab
the cable and cross the rushing water. (If Kazuya shouts over to the people
on the lift, the Chief Chef will give him the tip about using the cable.)
At the end, jump onto the lift.

Construction Area (and Shopping Center):

Shortly after climbing up onto a construction area, Kazuya will be
approached by a police inspector (Mr. Akimoto), who asks if he has
seen the murder suspect (Yuko) just mentioned in the news report.
Kazuya can actually see her hiding behind a car in the distance.

Whether Kazuya helps the poor girl hide or points her out to the police
inspector will affect Yuko's path (when her story is played later).

When Kazuya goes to the save point at the entrance of the shopping center
(Papco), Haruka will talk about wanting to go to a care center to see
a relative. In any case, they first need to reach the train station,
where there are buses ready to pick up people. Kazuya can also check
the shopping center to find some items.

The jewelry thief is burglarizing a jewelry store at the shopping center.
Just because it's indoors doesn't mean it isn't cold, so why not give her
a heat-restoring item? She will give Kazuya a Pearl in hopes of getting him
 to stop bothering her.

Be sure to take the Rope inside the office at the construction yard that
is mostly covered with electrified water. (Jumping into the water here
results in death.) Down the street past the shopping center, the road has
split apart vertically. Help Haruka climb up this break, and then give her
the Rope (from the construction yard office). After climbing up, get onto
 the highway ramp.

Train Station:

Use the side entrance to get into the train station. In the office,
take the Lighter and the Crank Handle. After Haruka falls down with
some collapsing flooring, Kazuya must find another way down there to
help her. (He can still try to shout over to her from above for fun.)

Outside on the streets, there is another entrance to the station, one with
stairs that lead down. (There are sandbags in front of this entrance.) Past
the underground store, use the Lighter to see the shutter socket, and then
use the Crank Handle (from the train station office) to open the shutter.
(Kazuya may want to hold on to the Crank Handle for future use.)

Whether Kazuya puts away the Lighter or keeps using it as he enters the
lower station levels will affect Yuko's path. (The Lighter will trigger
the water sprinklers and alert the nearby police officers.)

To reach Haruka, Kazuya will have to cross the tunnel by carefully walking
 along the fallen structures.

Whether Kazuya takes the shorter path (by pushing aside the small girder
in the way) or takes the longer path (by going down the wide detour and
by avoiding the water periodically rushing out from the walls) will affect
both his immediate future path and Yuko's path.

When Kazuya reaches Haruka, she will be fine. Proceed up the stairs, and
go to the bus waiting outside to leave. If Kazuya has taken the shorter
path back in the tunnels, the chaos he has created will cause the entire
station to start sinking, so he won't have any time to explore before
reaching the bus, and he will also have to exit the station by hurrying
up more stairs and then going out through the hole in the broken windows.

West Interchange:

On the bus, the sight of little Erika will trigger some memories in Haruka.
Kazuya can listen to her talking about her past and the problems she has
had with her step mom. At the interchange, everyone will leave the bus.

While waiting for the next helicopter, Kazuya can help the Chief Chef cook
food for others. When he is done messing around, he should talk to Haruka,
who is leaning against some railing. She will talk a bit more about why
she wants to go to the care center.

The chopper will come, but it will run into some trouble. Go up the ramp
to the freeway above. At the crash site, check the ledge to find the
Chief Chef. When Kazuya tries to help him up, an earthquake will cause
them both to fall off. Although Haruka wants to see if our waiter hero
is okay, the others will force her to come with them as they return to
the bus and hurry to another evacuation point at a different interchange.

Kazuya will be fine, but the Chief Chef will die shortly after the fall.
Kazuya will climb back up (somehow). Looks like he has to walk to the
evacuation point the others have mentioned.

On the Road to East Tomisaka - Kazuya the Jetski Hero:

Climb down the fallen vehicles, and then get up at the other side. Use the
jetski found conveniently lying around, and ride it over the fallen freeway
sign to reach the restaurant. Enter it (either by using the Crank Handle
to open the shutters or by crawling through the washroom windows). Inside
the restaurant, take the Crowbar, and then use it on the doors of the
 trailer outside.

Kazuya can ride the jetski through the now-open trailer. Use the fallen sign
as a ramp. When Kazuya reaches the bridge, a massive wave will come. Hurry
across the bridge, swerving a bit to the right (Kazuya's right) to dodge the
crap in the way and then turning back to the left, passing under the signs.

East Interchange:

Kazuya will find Erika's mom, who will explain what has happened. Shout over
to Haruka to get her attention, so she will throw Erika to him. After Kazuya
brings Erika back to her mom, he will have to go rescue Haruka, who is now
farther down the flooded area because of the shifting crap she's sitting on.

Climb the ladder up to a freeway (where there is a save point), and then
go back down the other side, along the muddy slope. In front of the building,
check the fallen large sign. Now go back up to the save point, where Erika
and her mom are waiting. Ask Erika's mom to help push the fallen sign.
After moving it with her aid, Kazuya can climb it and then jump over to
 the awning.

When Kazuya reaches Haruka, he will carry her on his back. When he tries
to return the way he has come, the plank will break away. Turn around and
climb up the ladder. Use the cable to reach safe ground. When the large
structure comes, be sure to halt and brace, and wait for the heavy rumbling
 to cease before continuing.

When the two return to the freeway, the rescue chopper will arrive.
However, Haruka still wants to go to the care center.

Whether Kazuya acts like a real man and keeps helping Haruka to the very
end or he makes like a big pussy and leaves in the chopper will affect
Yuji's path and the 6th story.

Restaurant Angelina:

Upon reaching the large parking lot outside a shopping mall, Haruka will
open up a bit more and suggest that the two refer to each other on more
informal terms. (If Kazuya wants to be really asexual about it, they will
continue to refer to each other by surname.)

Either way, Haruka starts feeling a bit woozy. Head toward the large
restaurant, Angelina's, at a corner of the intersection ahead. Yuji
(the white coat guy) will approach and ask Kazuya for help. (Kazuya
can bring Haruka into Angelina's first. Otherwise, she will just wait
 in the rain.)

Time to help Yuji. Follow him outside, down the street, and then down into
the collapsed area. Lift up the rubble there, so Yuji's companion (Saya)
can free herself. This being done, Kazuya can now continue on his way.

When Kazuya is done exploring the place, he should talk to Haruka again.
She isn't feeling well enough to eat something yet, so why not just rest
for a while? Sit down with her and talk to learn more about why she wants
 to see her step mom.

Care Center Area:

The roads to the care center are flooded. Find a broken fence and climb over
it to enter the backyard of a house. Bring the stepladder found there over
to the shed. Climb over it to reach the small boat.

Use the boat. Row east, then north, and then back down along the far east
side of this entire area to reach the care center. The place is closed.
Read the note posted on its doors to learn that the patients have been
 transferred to the public park.

Public Park and Circus:

Row around the whirlpool to the dock. As Kazuya nears the big circus tent
erected at this park, a house in the distance will collapse. Follow Haruka
over there to find an unconscious guy. Help the emergency worker carry this
injured guy to the tent, where other survivors have gathered.

Enter a trailer at the back lot to find some other dude. Talk to him to
get a tray of food, and then bring it into the tent to the unconscious guy.
At this point, Haruka will learn where her "mom" is. Follow Haruka there.
After the mushy scene, Haruka will want some time alone with her dead mom.

Head back to the front of the circus to find a chopper. However, an
earthquake will cause it to crash and the whole place to start sinking.
Run to the back lot, watching out for the sliding trailers that will
crash through the walls, and follow Haruka up the fallen fencing to
safe ground. Haruka's dad will show up in his chopper, too. There is
no place for him to land, so he points toward the Media Tower at the
center of the city. Time to go there.

Central District - High Railways:

Hurry through the snowstorm along the railways. Kazuya and Haruka will need
to climb some ladders to get around the broken portions of the path. At the
end of the first set of railways, jump across the gap to reach a building
roof, and then shout over to Haruka to get her to jump across, too.

See the train cars that have crashed into the side of the building?
Walk across them to reach the second set of railways. If Kazuya runs
across them too much, they will collapse. (Causing them to shake twice
will make them collapse after Kazuya and Haruka finish crossing them.
Causing them to shake thrice will result in death.)

Whether Kazuya keeps the train cars as they are or causes them to collapse
 will affect Yuji's path.

At the second set of railways, use the ladders to continue. A massive flood
of water is coming, so hurry to the exit, at the tunnel on the upper level.

Central District - Train Station:

From the boarding platform, go down the stairs into the station.
At the other end, watch out for the collapsing tree, which will fall
straight down toward the middle of the ticket gates.

Crawl out through the partially open shutters to find Haruka's dad.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.2] Yuko's Story
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yuko's story has some stealth elements. Because she is a murder suspect
on the run, being seen by police officers has the same result as getting
 wasted: Game Over.

Yuko's special ability is to ask for heat-restoring items from Toru
(her companion throughout much of her story).

Apartment Building - Flashback:

Yuko has come to visit her brother, Satoshi. When she enters his apartment,
he will meet a stranger, the black suit guy, who will quickly leave.
Inside the living room is Satoshi. He will mention a music box before
dying of a knife wound. Bleh.

In the bedroom, crawl under the desk and take the Music Box. Inside it,
Yuko will find a message card for her from Satoshi. After reading it,
 someone will ring the doorbell.

It's a random dead body search. When Yuko answers the door, the evil
police inspector (Mr. Akimoto) will believe that she is the murderess.

Police Station - Jail:

Now Yuko has been put in the slammer. She doesn't belong here, so why
doesn't she try making some noise? Shout twice to bother the guard outside,
and then an earthquake will bust up the place. Take the Towel Bar inside
the washroom, and then climb out through the new hole in the cell.

In the evidence room, help the guard by lifting the shelves that are
trapping him. (Holy crap, Yuko is super strong!) The guard, knowing his
priorities, will tell Yuko that she should find the keys he has lost and
then use them to get her stuff and to exit the jail.

Use the Towel Bar over the shelves to obtain the Keys (which have fallen
within a narrow space). Yuko should use the Keys on the first locker to
obtain her Lace-Ups (boots) and her Shoulder Bag (purse).

When Yuko is ready to go, she should use the Keys on the locked security
gate in the corridors outside. Unfortunately, the evil police inspector
will show up, slap handcuffs on Yuko, and then lock her behind the security
gate. Fortunately, another earthquake will cause more walls to come down.

The only way out now is the high window at the end of the newly revealed
corridors. Bring the stepladder in one of the rooms over to that window.

Police Station - Outer Grounds:

Stealth time. Yuko now has to avoid being seen by the police officers
walking back and forth on patrol. From the window where Yuko begins, the
only way out is to the south. Hide behind the crates, and when the police
officers walk past (but before they turn around again), quickly run toward
 the outer gates.

The side room and the washrooms located behind the vehicles have some items,
including the pieces of a policewoman's uniform. If Yuko wears this uniform,
the police officers won't notice her, unless she talks to them. However,
this uniform trick doesn't work in the other areas of the game.

The outer gates are locked, but there is a break in the outer walls that
Yuko can use to go toward an oil tanker. Push away the green oil pipe in
the way, and step toward the middle of the street. (The garbage collector
can be currently found near the recycle container, toward the intersection.)

To make good her escape, Yuko will need to run into the tunnel, away from
 the police station.

Construction Area:

Stealth time. After seeing the news report, walk past the two guys on the
street, and sneak behind the cars. Wait for the police officers to turn to
the side or the opposite direction before moving to the next car. At the
red car, Yuko will see the evil police inspector talking to a waiter and
 a waitress (Kazuya and Haruka).

If Kazuya has been nice enough to help her stay hidden, Yuko will be free
to continue sneaking away (but the other police officers can still see her
if she's unlucky). Following the outer side of the road, run past the truck
and the railing, and continue through a rear construction yard and then
to a gas station. At the gas station exterior, be sure to line up with the
fallen structure, because a flood will be coming. Yuko must climb up this
structure, and then she has to cross over to a plaza.

If Kazuya has been evil and points her out to the inspector, Yuko will be
locked up in a police van. Luckily, an earthquake will cause the van to
topple, allowing Yuko to crawl out to a plaza. (This path is shorter, but
it has fewer items to find.)

Either way, at the plaza, Yuko will meet the evil police inspector again.
He is too busy threatening our wrongly accused heroine to notice the massive
wave that is coming, which will wash him away. Yuko can grab the pole by
which she is resting to avoid getting knocked flat on her ass, but she will
still survive if she doesn't do so.

Train Station - Sneaking Inside:

Toru (the governor's assistant) will happen to come across Yuko. Luckily
for her, he doesn't believe that Yuko is a murderess, and he even agrees
to help her. First, follow Toru up some stairs to avoid the rising water.

Stealth time. After reaching the streets, Toru will tell Yuko to sneak
into the train station while he distracts the two nearby police officers.
Yuko can use the pedestrian overpass to get to the entrance, but she must
wait for Toru to make the police officers turn around (as indicated by
the position of their lights) before moving past them.

Train Station - Interior:

While stopping to rest, Yuko will have a chance to tell Toru more about
her unbelievable predicament. After Yuko recalls everything, Toru will
suggest that they return to her brother's apartment, so they can check
 for more clues.

Continue on through the station. At this point, Kazuya is opening the
shutters while making his way toward Haruka.

If Kazuya has been smart enough to put away the Lighter after opening
the shutters, he won't trigger the water sprinklers, and Yuko can walk
 through the bookstore peacefully.

If Kazuya has been stupid and triggered the water sprinklers, some police
officers will appear. Stealth time. Yuko will need to sneak through the
bookstore and the area outside it. Wait for the police officers to turn
 away before running past them.

Go down the stairs to the bottom level of the station. Toru will move
across the partially submerged trains first to make sure that they are
still stable. At this point, Kazuya is crossing the nearby collapsed
structures while making his way toward Haruka.

If Kazuya has taken the long path across the structures in this tunnel,
the wreckage will remain as it is, and Yuko can take the same path as Toru.
She will also be able to explore the areas afterward without needing to rush.

If Kazuya has been lazy and used the shortcut, he will cause the wreckage
to collapse some more. Yuko will be forced to take an alternate and
slightly more difficult path to the side, but it will still lead back
to where Toru is waiting. However, this alternate path also offers her
a chance to bail out early by turning herself in to the emergency workers
who arrive. Whether Yuko keeps following Toru and tries to solve her
brother's murder mystery or she gets fed up with this disaster city
and wants out now will affect Yuji's path.

Assuming she keeps going, Yuko will find herself on the other side of the
station. If Kazuya hasn't caused the entire place to start sinking, Yuko
can explore a bit. She can crawl through a broken window to enter a cafe.
If she has the Crank Handle (from Kazuya via the garbage collector), she
can also open the shutters of a fashion shop. The stairs lead to the exit.

Bridge Tunnel - Upper Street Level:

The evil police inspector turns out to have survived, and now he is trying
to stop Yuko. Simply run away from him, continuing down the street. (If the
evil inspector catches Yuko, Toru will shove him away, giving her a small
amount of time to flee again.) At a muddy slope, an earthquake will cause
the evil inspector to slip down to the rushing waters once more. Seems like
 Yuko's luck is returning.

The bridge that Yuko must cross to reach her brother's apartment building
consists of an upper street level and a lower tunnel level. On the street
level, she can safely talk to the people there. (They won't notice her as
 a fugitive.)

The bridge will break apart on the street level, however, so Yuko must
use the tunnel level. There are multiple ways to get down there.

The jewelry thief is standing at the overlook near the middle of the bridge,
not far from some stairs that lead down to the tunnel level. She seems to
be bothered about the rain, so why not give her an umbrella? After she runs
away, take the Opal that she has dropped.

Bridge Tunnel - Lower Tunnel Level:

In the middle of the tunnel, there is a large room. See Yuji (the white
coat guy) lying unconscious against a tree? Whether Yuko helps him (by
having Toru carry him) or leaves him there will affect Yuji's path.

One of the aquariums will be broken open by an earthquake. (It's the same
quake that rips apart the bridge on the street level.) Climb into this
broken aquarium, open the door to its maintenance room, and take the
 Pincers (wire-cutters) from the shelves.

When Yuko leaves the aquarium, another earthquake will cause the tunnel
to start flooding. Hurry over to the corner of the large room that is
closest to the broken aquarium, and use the Pincers to remove the fence
there. (Holy crap, Yuko is amazingly fast at wire-cutting!) Continue through
the corridor and up the stairs to the exit. (If Toru is carrying Yuji, he
will drop him off with some emergency workers after leaving the tunnel.)

Streets to the Apartment Building:

Uh oh, here comes the evil police inspector again. This time, he will cut
off Yuko from the front. While they are confronting each other at a dead-end
slope, some earthquakes will cause the evil inspector's patrol car and the
other nearby vehicles to slide down, killing anybody in their way.

Yuko must first run to the other side of the slope (to the left of the
screen) to avoid the patrol car, and then she must turn and run back to
where the patrol car has been originally parked (to the right) to avoid
the other vehicles. The cars will crush the evil inspector. Looks like
he won't be bothering Yuko again.

At the entrance to the apartment building, Toru will tell Yuko to go in
on her own, while he keeps watch outside.

Apartment Building - Revisited:

Use the stairs to reach the different floors. 1F has the superintendent's
office, 4F has Satoshi's apartment (402), B1 leads to the backyard, and
B2 is the parking lot. (Apartment 003 on B1 can be entered.)

In Apartment 402, Yuko must not go toward the large tree that has crashed
into the living room, or else the floor will collapse, and it's bye-bye
Yuko. Take the Music Box, and shake it a bit to find a note hidden inside.
It mentions something about the Water Guardian Spirit. Before Yuko can make
sense of it, however, the black suit guy appears again and snatches the note.

Toru will catch up to Yuko, but not until the black suit guy flees. When
Yuko tells him what the note says, Toru figures that it must be a reference
to the dam, located north of the city. The two will take her brother's car.

Restaurant Angelina:

The car craps out not far from Angelina's, so Toru and Yuko split up to find
another car that they can use. (At this point, Kazuya and Haruka haven't
 reached this area yet.)

As Yuko walks toward the restaurant, she will meet Saya (Satoshi's
girlfriend, but Yuko won't recognize her). Saya will ask Yuko if she
has seen Yuji (the white coat guy).

After Saya leaves, Yuko should enter Angelina's, where she will meet a
journalist, who appears to be working on a very big story. In the middle
of their conversation, Toru will show up to tell Yuko that he has found
a working car, as well as to try convincing the journalist that she
 isn't a murderess.

When Yuko is ready to go, she should talk to Toru, who is waiting near the
car in the parking lot below. She can also ask him more about his job, which
she has just heard about from the journalist. Hmmm.

Dam:

Crawl through the hole in the fence, go through the buildings and up the
stairs. At the top, the upper sections of the dam will collapse, so quickly
run along the path, going around the trucks in the way.

Time for Yuko to go fetch what her brother has hidden for her. She can pose
at the Geo-kun cut-out for fun, but when she is ready, she should find the
small maintenance room built over a large support column. Inside, push aside
the cart, open the hatch, and climb down the ladder along the side of the
support. At the bottom, take the Data Disc. Found with it is Satoshi's note,
telling Yuko what is going on and what she must do with it. Now go back up.

After Yuko returns to the top, Toru will appear. However, this time, he
reveals himself to be the true murderer, and he wants the Data Disc. In
a further twist of events, the black suit guy turns out to be Mr. Negishi,
who is actually friendly to Satoshi's cause.

After Mr. Negishi appears and Toru takes Yuko hostage, Yuko should try to
struggle. Ironically, the handcuffs that have been such a nuisance are what
saves her from Toru's nasty knife. However, they won't protect her from the
avalanche that is coming. Follow Mr. Negishi's example by grabbing the post.
Yuko will automatically shove Toru off from it. Make sure not to grab it too
early, or else Toru will come back and shove off Yuko. (A good time to grab
it is when the large snow chunks appear more frequent.)

After surviving the avalanche, Yuko will find Toru hanging on the cliff
ledge. What she does from there is up to her, but in any case the police
will arrive (hauling away Toru as well if Yuko chooses to keep him alive).

The black suit guy will also pick up the Data Disc that Yuko has dropped.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.3] Akira's Story
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Akira's story features a hero who has his own vehicle, a taxicab, and there
will be lots of driving action in the later scenes. The car also serves
as a free portable heater. Press the Look Button (Triangle) to access the
in-car menu when the vehicle is stopped.

However, if the car takes too much collision damage and its windows
completely break, it won't be able to keep out the rain, and the heater
bonus will be lost. To fix this, either bring the car to the underground
garage at the station area, or use a garbage bag and a roll of tape to
 create makeshift windows (soft top).

Akira's special ability is to use his car radio (when the vehicle is
stopped). The channels offer different programming at different points
 of the story.

Convenience Store:

It's time to start work. Whatever items Akira picks up in the store have
to be paid for at the counter before he can leave. (Money isn't an issue
in this game; Akira will automatically pay the correct amount when he goes
 to the counter.)

Outside, Akira will find an emergency worker who is hysterical about needing
a ride. Looks like big trouble is coming. Get in the car, and drive across
 the bridge.

Traffic Jam:

The emergency worker isn't willing to sit through the traffic jam, so he
thanks Akira and then speeds off on foot. Ryoko Honda will then enter the
car. She has forgotten to bring money, but in any event, she will persuade
Akira to take her toward the residential district.

Police Station:

On the way to the residential district, Akira will pass by the police
station, where an out-of-control car crashes into the compound. Ryoko
wants to check it out. It's going to take a while, so Akira should pull
into the parking lot across from the police station. Leave the car and
find Ryoko, who is talking to a police officer. At this point, Yuko is
sneaking out of the police station.

Yuko has knocked away the oil pipe, and the resulting explosion will cause
the floor where Ryoko and Akira are standing to cave in, forming a pit.
The smoke is blinding Ryoko, so Akira should climb his way out on his
own first. (If Yuko has been silly enough to leave her Shoulder Bag and
Lace-Ups in the evidence lockers, Akira can find them here, where the
lockers have been torn open.) However, Akira must not drop back into the
pit after leaving it, or else he will get killed by a collapsing building.

Outside the pit, work back across the streets, to the upper edges of the
pit. Walking back and forth between the two outcroppings over the pit,
shout over to Ryoko to guide her around the flames inside the pit. When
she reaches an outcropping, Akira will pull her up to safety.

Apartment Building - Exterior:

Ryoko is looking for a way into the apartment building, but she can't open
the front doors. First she wants to ride without paying, and now she wants
Akira to help her find another entrance into this place. Hell, why not?

After leaving his car, Akira should walk down the side path, toward the
point overlooking the building's backyard. There, he will notice that
the entrance in the backyard has been left open. Tell Ryoko about it,
and then drive down the street, turning right, going around the building.

Before Akira can find a normal way into the backyard, however, an earthquake
will cause the road to collapse, which in turn will cause his car to plunge
down into the backyard and crash into the large tree. This tree will then
fall into a certain fourth floor apartment. Whoops.

Apartment Building - Interior:

The collision isn't serious, but one of the car's tires needs to be replaced.
While Ryoko goes off snooping in Apartment 402, Akira has to find a spare.
Go down to the garage (B2), take the Tire, and use it on the car to get it
fixed. (Don't ask how Akira can do the work without any tools.) Ryoko will
now come back out and talk to a stranger, the black suit guy, before joining
 Akira again.

Back in the car, Akira can ask Ryoko more about her line of work, and
the two will introduce themselves more formally to each other. Her next
 destination is a research institute.

Research Institute:

Akira may want to use the time now to get familiar with the area leading
to the research institute proper. Drive through the main gate, through the
office building, across the stairs and streams, and then through the hole
in the fence (where a crashed car can be seen), to a parking spot.

Ryoko will want Akira to come into the institute with her. Ride down the
elevator inside. At the locker room, take the Cardkey, and use it on the
slots to open the locked doors in the way. Eventually, Akira will find
research room 3, which has a window looking into another room. Inside there,
talk to Ryoko. She will give Akira some documents to carry. Now leave the
room and try to head back to the car. The security door will suddenly close,
trapping Ryoko, and water will also leak into the room, slowly flooding it.

Uh oh. Ryoko tells Akira to find the black suit guy (Mr. Negishi), who can
open the security door. (The flooding is for cinematic effect and has no
real-time consequences, so Akira can actually go around exploring if he
likes.) He will have to return to his car and drive back out to the streets.

Driving Around - Finding the Black Suit Guy:

Akira can travel to various districts now. Despite how they may appear at
first, each district actually doesn't offer much to explore, and conveniently
placed roadblocks will keep Akira on relatively linear paths.

The train station area is optional. It has an underground garage (located in
the underground parking lot) that can repair Akira's car for free. To exit
this area, drive up the fallen ramp-like structure in the parking lot, and
then continue past the rear of the train station. (At this point, Kazuya
and Yuko still haven't left the train station yet.)

The district with Angelina's is also optional. The jewelry thief is standing
at the parking lot outside the shopping mall. Why not give her a ride?
She will give Akira a Sapphire as payment for a ride to the newtown district.

The newtown district is where the black suit guy is located, in the
southwest. (It's actually the backyard of Satoshi's apartment building
again, but this time Akira can enter it normally through the gates.) Drive
up toward him and tell him about Ryoko's predicament. Surprisingly enough,
the black suit guy has more pressing matters to handle first, because he
will force Akira at gunpoint to drive him to the dam. Akira has no choice,
 so he must cooperate.

Mountain Road:

Drive along the road to the dam. A portion of it has collapsed, however, so
Akira will need to find a creative detour. From the broken portion, back up
a little bit, and then drive up into the wilderness, finding a way through
the forest and the shallow streams until reaching the dam.

Dam:

While the black suit guy does whatever he needs to do, Akira has to fetch
some gas for his car, which is almost running on fumes. Find some exterior
stairs leading down, and in one of the rooms, take the empty Jerry Can.
Now go back to where the black suit guy has been standing. (At this point,
Yuko is climbing to the top of the dam, assuming she has reached this area.)

In the room where the black suit guy has been first standing, follow the
stairs down to the lower level, where a fuel tank is located. Use the
Jerry Can there to fill it up with gasoline.

Now return to the car. The path will break apart, forcing Akira to carefully
walk across a girder. Wait for the water spurts to subside before moving
 forward.

After Akira reaches and fills up his car, the black suit guy will return,
and now they can get back to saving Ryoko.

High School:

On the way to the research institute, Akira will have to pass through
a high school. A massive wave of water will be coming up from the back,
though. Drive down the road, going between the two school buildings.
 (Akira can plow through the schoolgirl or the man chasing her if he likes;
doing so won't affect Kana's path.) Lean toward the right, driving around
the stairs, and go up the small sloped road.

Research Institute - Revisited:

The entire place has sunken a bit since Akira's last visit, so he should
take care not to drive into a death pit by accident. Park the car at the
same spot, and take the same elevator.

Inside the room next to the one in which Ryoko is trapped, use the console
with the blue screen. The black suit guy says that the water pressure inside
is preventing the security door from opening, so Akira should suggest some
way of draining the water. Thinking that is a great idea, the black suit guy
will then tell him to activate the drainage ducts outside.

Find the control panel on the wall facing the window where Ryoko can be seen
struggling to stay alive. Use this control panel to drain the water inside,
so the door will open. Go in there, and carry her all the way back to the
car, using the elevator again. (Where the hell are the stairs?)

Research Institute - Akira the Crazy Ass Stunt Driver:

After Akira, Ryoko, and Mr. Negishi listen to the radio for a while, the
entire place will begin to sink.

Hero time. Quickly drive past the large vats (which will break off and roll
away) and up into the office building.

The office building will sink in a way that cuts off the front entrance.
Akira must quickly turn left and go up the stairs, spiraling up the
floors. At the end of these upper floors, he should drive through the
cracked window, landing back outside in front of the office building.
Hurry up the slopes to the main entrance, and get back to the streets.

Central District:

Ryoko will ask Akira to find some parking. The parking spot lies just in
front of a nearby news office building.

After leaving the car, Mr. Negishi will thank Akira for his help and
then continue on his own way. Meanwhile, Akira still has one little matter
to resolve with Ms. Honda. Ryoko will ask him to come with her into the
building, where they will meet another journalist (Masayuki Sudo). After
the conversation about uncovering some secret project, Akira and Ryoko
 will leave the city.

Looks like Akira will never collect his fare from this heck of a lady.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.4] Kana's Story
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kana's story is very short, and it is punctuated by lots of flashbacks
about how another student, Ayano Sakurazaka, has been a really mean bitch
 to poor little Kana.

Kana's special ability is to replay the flashbacks that have already
occurred, and it's nothing really useful.

School Building:

Kana has been stuffed inside a locker by Ayano, and she wakes up alone
inside a classroom. Go out to the corridor and into the next classroom.
Carefully climb out through the broken wall onto an exterior ledge, and
then climb into the open window of the classroom ahead.

Ms. Higa, a friendly teacher, will call out from the building across,
telling Kana to get to safety. Afterward, Ms. Higa will disappear with
a sudden crashing noise. (If Kana shouts over to her, Ms. Higa will
 cry back for help.)

Kana should continue on her way. Near the washrooms, she will hear somebody
inside the girls' washroom. Whether she goes in to check or doesn't, she will
eventually meet pervo-teacher, who wants to do stuff to her. Nasty stuff.
Kana needs to run away from pervo-teacher. (If he grabs her, it's Game Over.)

Kana can escape by running down the stairs to the first floor, out through
the open doorway, across the road, and through the doors to the building
across. At this point, Akira is driving back toward the research institute.
Getting in his way and being run over is not healthy. Not escaping into
the next building before the waves hit is also not healthy.

Another School Building:

The doors behind Kana will be closed as the water comes.

On the second floor, find the door that has been locked by Ayano.
Take the nearby Firehose, and then turn around and enter the corridor
where Ms. Higa is trapped by a piano that has rolled onto her leg.

Use the Firehose on the piano to lift it up, allowing the good teacher to
free herself. (Holy crap, Kana is super strong! Just for fun, before using
the Firehose, Kana can also try using some other nearby items in an attempt
to help Ms. Higa. The Mop won't work because there isn't enough leverage,
and the Salad Oil can only get really... interesting.)

After being freed, Ms. Higa will like to warm up a bit, so why not follow
her to the teachers' office? Kana can chat with her a bit more there,
choosing (or not) to explain why she hasn't been evacuated like the rest
and to listen to Ms. Higa talk about herself.

Ms. Higa has the keys to the locked door (the one with Ayano's note), so
follow her there after leaving the office. However, an earthquake will cause
the floor to collapse. Luckily, Kana manages to catch onto a girder, but
 another problem pops up again.

It's the return of pervo-teacher, who has somehow survived the earlier
flood. (If he bends over and touches Kana's hands, it's Game Over.) Kana
should simply sidle over toward her right, toward Ms. Higa, who will pull
her up as another earthquake causes pervo-teacher to lose his balance and
 fall off the girder.

Gymnasium:

Ms. Higa certainly can't believe what she has just seen, but now is not
the time to worry about pervo-teacher being one of her former colleagues.

The gym has been turned into a gathering area for survivors, few of whom
are still present, waiting for the next helicopter to pick them up. Another
teacher will give Kana a Key and tell her to check if there is still anyone
outside who needs to come inside. (Hmmm, the sick girl lying face down
 looks familiar.)

Use the Key to open the exterior doors in front of the gym. The jewelry thief
is the only one outside. As usual, she isn't interested in being evacuated
with the rest. She will give Kana a Ruby if Kana simply talks to her.

When Kana is done screwing around, she should get back into the gym and
talk to Ms. Higa. A scientist (Dr. Kawamura) will tell everyone to go up
to the roof, where a chopper is finally arriving.

Going to the Roof - Kana Gets Her Revenge... or Not:

The others have gone ahead first, leaving Kana and the sick girl alone
in the gym. When Kana tries to move, the sick girl, who is none other
than Ayano, will plead for help. Ayano's leg is hurt, and nobody else
has wanted to aid her. If Kana makes like an angel, she can help Ayano
reach the roof. (If Kana goes evil and refuses to help, Ayano will still
 limp along on her own.)

With Ayano in tow, Kana should follow the upper walkway that has collapsed
in the gym, forming a ramp up to an open window. Climb through it, and get
across to the next school building, whose roof is the evacuation point.

Go through the classroom and into the corridor. Yuji (the white coat guy)
will show up at this point. Kana's comment toward him can affect Yuji's
 perception of himself.

Continue up some stairs and through another corridor, moving toward
the roof. On the last staircase, an earthquake will cause the stairs
to collapse, and Ayano will be hanging on for dear life. If Kana is
truly the nicest schoolgirl around, she should pull Ayano up and maybe
even forgive her. (If Kana decides to get the revenge she deserves,
she can say goodbye and leave Ayano to fall to her death.)

Go out through the doorway to the roof to find Ms. Higa and the chopper.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.5] Yuji's Story
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yuji's story (the white coat guy's story) involves figuring out and possibly
stopping the virus that is spreading throughout the survivors.

Yuji's special ability is to recollect memories. Along with Masayuki's
version of the 6th story, this is the only story that requires the use
 of the character-specific special ability.

Streets Near Bridge Tunnel and Convenience Store:

If Yuko has been nice enough to have Toru bring the white coat guy out
from the bridge tunnel, he will wake up inside a laundry building.

If Yuko has left him in the tunnel, he will wake up on the steps near
the tunnel, in the middle of the rain. He has to walk up to the streets
before the rising water kills him.

Either way, the white coat guy will find a young woman next to him. She will
pass out from an illness, however, so he should put her on a table (if they
are at the laundry) or on a bench (if they are outside).

Now to do some exploring. In the corridor past the alleyway behind the
laundry building, take the Oars. In the convenience store, take the
Cold Sheet from the storeroom near the washroom. In the emergency area,
talk to the emergency worker and tell him about the ill woman.

The emergency worker will think the white coat guy is a doctor, so he will
give him a Stethoscope. The ill woman has a fever, so use the Cold Sheet
(from the convenience store) on her. Now use the Stethoscope on her to see
that she can use a warm blanket. Talk to the emergency worker again, and
he will give out a Blanket. Use it on the woman, and she will wake up.

Her name is Saya, and after learning that our amnesiac protagonist doesn't
know who he is or what the hell is going on, she tells him that his name
is Yuji, and she needs his help to sort out the mess in which the Saeki
 siblings are involved.

First, they have to go to Satoshi's place. Go down the street north past
the emergency area to find that the roads there are flooded. Go back to the
place with the emergency worker to find the blue Airbed. When Yuji checks it,
the emergency worker will ask him what he is doing. Yuji shouldn't tell him
the direct truth and should simply say that he wants to use it to help out
Saya. With the emergency worker's help, bring it over to the flooded roads.

Yuji and Saya can use the Airbed as a raft. They will need the Oars
(from behind the laundry building, or Yuji can create makeshift ones
by using tape and other items found within this area).

Apartment Building:

Outside Apartment 402, Yuji and Saya will meet Dr. Kawamura, who says that
they aren't too late to stop Ekidona, whatever the hell that is. In the
bedroom, check the laptop computer. Saya knows Satoshi's password, so Yuji
can read the e-mail correspondence from himself. Yuji still doesn't know
much about the secret project being mentioned, so it's time to head to his
own place. Saya can lead him there.

Flooded Streets:

Row down the flooded streets, following the current, but be sure to row
away from the death pits. Past the firetruck, go to the partially sunken
 pedestrian overpass.

The jewelry thief is inside a truck near this partially sunken overpass.
Why not give her a food item? She will give Yuji a Diamond in an attempt
to get him to stop bugging her.

At the other side of the overpass and the broken roads, use the Airbed
to continue on through the open corridor of a toppled building.

Restaurant Angelina:

At the plank over the hole, an earthquake will cause the place to collapse,
trapping poor Saya under some rubble. Go down to see if she is okay, and
then get back up to find some help. Go toward Angelina's. At this point,
if Kazuya has been a nice guy, he and Haruka will be approaching the
 restaurant, too.

If Kazuya helps out, lead him back to Saya. (Interestingly enough, Kazuya
will be listed as being in Yuji's party, and Yuji can even cook food for
him, but Kazuya and Haruka won't take any items from him.)

If Kazuya isn't around to help, Yuji will have to take the Jack inside
the parking lot below the restaurant and then use it to free Saya.

With Saya up and fine again, Yuji should go to the apartment building
back toward the restaurant's direction. (Saya has been here much earlier,
 when she met Yuko.)

Yuji's Apartment:

Yuji should explore his own home. In the office, read the Diary to learn
the effects of electricity on Ekidona, and turn on the PC and read the
 correspondence from "Apron."

After gathering all this information, use the remembrance ability (via the
Subscreen) to recall all about Ekidona and its development. Seeing that
it's a killer virus, Yuji and Saya will need to find the container, which
is at the high school (as Dr. Kawamura mentioned).

High School:

Use the Airbed and row into the open entrance of the school building,
going through the flooded corridors. At this point, Kana is moving through
the same building (with Ayano). Kana's comment can affect how Yuji chooses
to remember himself. (Yuji can't catch up to Kana, because of the broken
stairs that have caused Ayano to fall.)

Going back the way Kana has taken, reach the gym to meet Dr. Kawamura.
Use the remembrance ability to figure out what to do to the container
to stop Ekidona, and then talk to Dr. Kawamura again, who will succumb
to the virus very soon. Before he dies, he tells Yuji that he needs to
use the power station at the central district on the container (because
a high voltage shock will kill Ekidona).

Go outside the gym to find the container and a boat. If Yuji wants to
be a nice guy, he should let Saya come along, so she can bring herself
some closure with Satoshi's last message to her.

In any case, the container will float off on its own, so it's time to
 go after it.

Central District - Flooded Streets:

The container has become stuck against some wreckage. Yuji should check it
to see that he needs to find something with which to haul it. Leaving the
container for now, continue ahead, and look for a large plaza. Get off on
 the steps.

At the plaza, take the City Flag from the flagpole. Go back to the
container, and the Flag will be automatically used to drag it along.
Now return toward the plaza's direction, continuing to the west.
At this point, if Kazuya has been a nice guy, he and Haruka will
be traveling along the railways above (in the opposite direction).

If Kazuya has left the trains as they are, Yuji (and Saya) can move
 along below as usual.

If Kazuya has caused the trains to collapse, Yuji will lose hold of the
container while trying to avoid the wrecks as they come down. The container
will now be floating south (toward the sea), and Yuji has to catch it before
 it drifts away.

When Yuji continues back toward the west, a massive flood of water will
come. (It's the same one away from which Kazuya and Haruka are running.)
Yuji has to reach the tunnel to avoid getting killed.

Power Station:

Yuji will automatically hook up the container, but there's no power.
Walk around the station a bit and open the door to the control room.
Use the power switch to restore electricity. Back outside, try to use
 the switch on the panel.

"Apron," who turns out to be Governor Tanabe, will fly down in his chopper,
along with his henchmen. He will explain his vengeance-seeking reasons
behind his actions. If Yuji goes evil, he can agree with Tanabe and join
 him, leaving poor Saya behind.

If Yuji becomes a real good guy, he should keep defying Tanabe. In the end,
Tanabe shoots Yuji and then orders his body to be thrown into the water.

Things are not over yet. Yuji still isn't dead, so he should struggle back
toward safe ground (to the side of the railing). Then, he has to crawl back
up toward the switch on the panel. He should hide behind the crates and then
reach the switch without being seen by Tanabe, who will be walking back and
forth. (Due to the shitty controls, be sure to stop moving when trying to
use the switch. Just for fun, Yuji can also try to shout, but his punctured
gut will only let him gurgle blood, which won't alert Tanabe.)

All criminal masterminds should take note to put a few extra rounds into
any defiant do-gooders' brains before dumping their bodies into the water.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.6] 6th Story
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The final story is the shortest, but it wraps up everything. Kazuya's
actions will determine who is the playable character here.

If Kazuya has been a nice guy and helps Haruka to the end, he will be the
 playable character.

If Kazuya leaves early, Masayuki Sudo (the crippled journalist mentor and
friend of Ryoko) will be the playable character. Masayuki's version of the
6th Story on Hard is not fun.

Central District:

In Kazuya's version, the ground will start sinking before he can join Haruka
and her dad in the chopper, so he must flee into the other nearby building.

In Masayuki's version, he must first figure out Governor Tanabe's motives.
Despite all the information he and Ryoko have gathered, he is still missing
some clues, so he should go into the archives and read up on the two marked
articles found in there. Afterward, he should use his analysis ability,
which works like Yuji's remembrance ability. (If he properly sequences
the events, the pieces should be arranged in a spiral pattern.) After he
is done, he should exit outside, go up the pedestrian overpass, and hurry
to the same building which Kazuya would have entered. (In Free Mode, he
won't need to figure out Tanabe's motives, and he can just exit.)

Building:

Hurry up the floors, climbing the stairs and escalators before the rising
water catches up. (In Masayuki's version, the water is slowed down and
additional heat-restoring items will appear, so he can still make it,
 despite his painfully low speed.)

Eventually, a hanging boat will drop down from the ceiling. Climb onto it,
avoid the crap that slides down, and get over to the skyway.

The skyway will collapse partially, making the floor slippery, so grab the
railing and keep climbing to the exit at the other side.

Roof - Media Tower:

Looks like the black suit guy (Mr. Negishi) can't make it in the end,
but he still has the Data Disc, which Yuko has (supposedly) worked so
hard to find. He will want the hero to bring it to the proper authorities,
so the people of Tomisaka and the rest of the world can be saved.
(Talk to him again to get a free first-aid kit.)

There is no place left to go but up. Leave the black suit guy for his final
rest, and climb up the tower, using the stairs and the ladders. At the very
top, run straight toward the lone antenna sticking out, and grab it. The
flooring here will start listing, becoming very slippery, but just aim for
the antenna and don't stop charging toward it.

While grabbing onto the antenna, the hero will be finally rescued by a
helicopter (with Haruka for Kazuya, or with Ryoko for Masayuki).

[4] Miscellaneous Information
==============================================================================

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[4.1] Free Mode (Freeplay Mode)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To gain access to Free Mode, finish the game. Free Mode is a New Game option
that lets you immediately play through any character's story, without having
to go through all of them in the standard order.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[4.2] Collection Option (Free Costume)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To gain access to the Collection Option, finish the game. The Collection
includes all the articles of clothing that the characters have kept
(by carrying them in the inventory, by wearing them, or by giving them
to companions to wear). In subsequent sessions, open any recycle container
to access the Collection. Infinite copies of the items in the Collection
 can be freely obtained.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[4.3] Jewel Suit (Special Costume)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To gain access to the Jewel Suit, collect all 5 gems from the jewelry thief
(one gem for each of the main playable characters). The Jewel Suit has the
special property of preventing the wearer from getting wet. It looks ugly
 as hell, though.

Here is a summary of where to find the jewelry thief and how to obtain
 the gems from her:

Kazuya - At the jewelry store, give her a heat-restoring item.
Yuko - At an overlook of the tunnel bridge, give her an umbrella.
Akira - At the mall parking lot near Angelina's, give her a ride.
Kana - At the gym exterior, talk to her.
Yuji - At a truck near a partially sunken overpass, give her a food item.

[5.2] Really Small Details That Don't Help People Survive
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Temporal Disparities
You've probably already noticed how the items in areas visited by multiple
characters don't exist in a proper chronological sense. For example, if
Kazuya grabs the portable stove at Angelina's, it won't appear when Yuko
goes there, even though she reaches that place before Kazuya does in the
 story's timeline.

The Little Girl Who Can Kick Your Ass
Yuko turns out to be freakishly powerful. She is the only playable
character who can wear a backpack, a purse, and a waist pouch, giving
her the highest carrying capacity. There are also the facts that she
can lift heavy objects unaided, that she can somehow fit the sleeves
of certain clothes over her arms while being handcuffed, and that she
can bite onto a knife without cutting her lips. Looks like Satoshi is
totally correct to rely on his younger sister.

One-Way Windows
There is something awfully wrong with the windows of Akira's car. They
always look fine from the inside, even if they are broken when viewed
from the outside or if Akira has covered them up with garbage bags.

She Is Just as Cute Either Way
Kana normally wears white shoes, but on the Character Select Screen, she is
 seen wearing reddish brown shoes.

Third Time's the Charm
Have you found the Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 3 Compass yet? (It can be found in
Masayuki's version of the 6th story.) How is that for planning in advance?
