[1] Overview
==============================================================================

 1st Playable's Imagine: Gymnast is a gymnastics game that features a team
 of playable heroines who have many aesthetic options. It is a follow-up
 to Gym Rockets, and it simplifies the goals and the acquirement of items
 but encourages the replaying of the events with the Player-created heroine
 and her four predetermined friends. (This game should not be confused with
 Gym Rockets' European version, which is also named Imagine: Gymnast.)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[1.1] Story
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

   The heroine joins the Harmony Gymnastics Academy, where she will make
 friends with her new teammates and coach. Will they fulfill their potential
 and take home the gold?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[1.2] Characters
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Heroine (Player-Named)
 (Character Select Info: "A new student at the academy with a bright outlook")
 The main protagonist, and the newest member of the team. The heroine
 is a friendly girl who enjoys the company of her teammates. By default,
 she has brownish red hair with a ponytail, and her uniform color is
 Purple and White. The heroine's name is limited to 10 characters.

Helena
 (Character Select Info: "Vault master extraordinaire")
 The bold member of the team. Helena approaches life and gymnastics with
 a fearless attitude, and she also develops a particular liking for the
 heroine. She has red hair with a spunky braid, and her uniform color is
 Red and White.

Tess
 (Character Select Info: "Poised diva")
 The knowledgeable member of the team. Tess is a well-read person who likes
 learning about the background of gymnastics as much as she does practicing
 the sport itself. She has black hair with a bun, and her uniform color is
 Yellow and Dark Pink.

Beatrix
 (Character Select Info: "Speed is her middle name")
 The shy member of the team. Beatrix possesses a quiet exterior that conceals
 a fierce passion for her friends, never hesitating to leap to their defense.
 She has blue hair with an afro (more like a perm), and her uniform color is
 Dark Green and Light Blue.

Arianna
 (Character Select Info: "Charismatic queen of style")
 The uptight member of the team. Arianna loves ballet almost as much as
 gymnastics, and she is always eager to share her dancing expertise with
 her companions. She has blonde hair with a bob, and her uniform color is
 Blue and Dark Blue.

Shannon Miller
 The coach, and the head of the Harmony Gymnastics Academy. Shannon is
 a charismatic leader who is a former Olympics champion herself.
   In real life, Shannon Miller is the most decorated gymnast, having
 won forty nine national and fifty nine international competition medals,
 including nine World Championship Medals and seven Olympic Medals.
 With her organization, the Shannon Miller Foundation (shannonmiller.com),
 she works as a health and wellness advocate for women and children.
 She also serves as a commentator and analyst on gymnastics.
   In this game, Shannon appears as she has during 2010, with brown hair
 (close enough to her actual hair). :)

Kristin
 The heroine's best friend outside the academy. Kristin enjoys few things
 more than going to the beach. She has brown hair.

The Heroine's Mom
 The heroine's maternal parent. The heroine's mom is an active member
 of the Army and is currently deployed overseas. She has brown hair.
 (Unlike the relative in Gym Rockets, this character's complexion
 isn't affected by the heroine's.)

The Reporter
 A journalist. The reporter will be interested in Shannon's team at the
 World Championship Finals. She has brown hair. (She appears only once.)

Gym Rockets
 A formidable gymnastics team, and a reference to the protagonists
 of an earlier game developed by 1st Playable. It is coached by Tammy,
 and its star members are Beverly and her best friend.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[1.3] Controls
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Touch Screen - Navigate the menus, begin a routine, and perform moves.
 For the moves, be sure to draw large strokes, because small strokes
 tend to be treated as erroneous taps. The game uses cardinal strokes
 and diagonal strokes (for most moves), circle strokes (for adding twists
 to moves), figure traces (for determining mounting and dismounting moves),
 and taps (for landings).

Camera Pad (D-Pad) - Move the Camera in Leotard Design Mode.
 Press Up and Down to move the Camera toward and away from the
 heroine. Press Left and Right to revolve the Camera around her.

Reset Camera Button (L) - Reset the Camera's position in Leotard Design Mode.

Pause Button (Start) - Pause, and skip the Movies if they have already
 been viewed. The Pause Screen has the options of resuming the Event
 and of returning to the Main Menu.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[1.4] New Features and Changes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 - The Goals are simplified. They are more generic, no longer requiring
 specific moves to be performed, and they are repeated across every Event
 within the same Chapter.

 - The Stats System is removed. The heroines effectively begin with
 maximized Stats compared to their Gym Rockets counterparts.

 - The acquisition of items is simplified, and the Tokens and the Pro Shop
 are removed. The Hairstyles, Leotard Prints, and Accessories are directly
 obtained by attaining the Goals.

 - The music for all Events is the same, except for the Rhythmic Events,
 where the tune depends on the Template that is chosen. The option
 to partially control which tunes to play during Events is removed.

 - The visual style is changed from a soft, pastel style to a sleek,
 lustrous style. However, several animations are reused from Gym Rockets.

 - Most of the Tutorials and the Movies can be viewed again when
 replaying the Chapters.

 - The Minigames are removed.

 - The Files are decreased to one. However, there is a Guest File that allows
 a temporary New Game to be started but doesn't retain any progress there.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[1.5] Events and Moves
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 The Repertoire List (accessed via the Main Menu) displays the moves,
 organized by Event.

 Generally, Speed Moves (Green, 1 Energy Point) are associated with lateral
 strokes, Technique Moves (Blue, 2 Energy Points) with diagonal strokes,
 Poise Moves (Yellow, 3 Energy Points) with downward strokes for the
 preparatory crouches (White, 0 Energy Points) followed by upward strokes,
 and Power Moves (Red, 5 Energy Points) with upward strokes.

 For each move, the number in the parentheses after the description
 indicates the value in Tech Points.

[1.5.5] Rhythmic Moves (36 total) (Blue Ribbon Icon)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 In the Rhythmic Events, a routine is established by choosing a Template,
 and then the heroines build Energy and perform moves in each of four parts.
 Energy is gained by making the five randomly determined indicated strokes
 (in the eight cardinal directions) that appear near the heroines when
 they do their flourish at the beginning of every part.
 Unlike the other Events, the Rhythmic Events don't allow open-ended
 improvisation with the routine, which is strictly determined by the
 Template. There must be a planned move remaining in the current part
 in order for it to be performed, regardless of how much Energy and
 space remain.
 At the Template Select Menu, the reddish orange Charge Points represent
 the beginning of every part, and the dots represent the moves. Drag the
 dots to swap them with other dots, or tap a dot that is already highlighted
 to change it via the Moves Menu. All Templates have sixteen moves total
 across four parts, with each part having three to five moves. The game
 will automatically prevent any arrangement of moves that exceeds the
 maximum amount of Energy (10 Points) that can be gained in each part.
 (The Rhythmic Event is a reworked version of the Performance Event
 from Gym Rockets.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[1.6] General Tips
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 - Invalid strokes won't negatively affect the combos, but large strokes are
 generally better recognized than small strokes.
 - Twists can be added to moves (by performing circle strokes prior to the
 standard strokes) to increase those moves' Tech Points without costing any
 additional Energy. However, twist-modified Technique Moves can prevent the
 use of Power Moves in the Beam Events and the Uneven Bars Events. Twists
 can also be frustratingly unresponsive. If they can't be recognized after
 several attempts, just proceed without them to maintain the current combo.
 Twists affect Poise Moves but not the crouches or other preparatory motions
 (white arrow strokes).
 - All moves except those for the Vault Events award similar amounts
 of Style Stars. Spending the same amount of Energy to perform more
 Speed Moves and Technique Moves will result in more Style Stars.
 - In the Floor Events, in the first and the third parts, to gain Energy
 more easily, leave the Stylus on the Touch Screen and drag it over the
 handprint symbols as they appear on the heroines' hands. There is no need
 to lift the Stylus and separately tap each symbol here.
 - In the Vault Events and in the Floor Events' second and fourth parts,
 gaining Energy requires the Stylus to be rubbed left and right across
 the Touch Screen in general, not specifically over the indicator.
 - In the Beam Events, to gain Energy more easily, begin by placing
 the Stylus around the necks of the heroines, and then drag it
 to follow the handprint symbol as it continuously appears on
 the heroines' left hands.
 - In the Uneven Bars Events, the simpler mounting moves will have the
 heroines start on the lower bar, while the two most advanced ones will
 have them start on the upper bar. Keep this in mind when preparing to
 gain Energy by rapidly drawing circles in the direction indicated by
 the ring of arrows (low bar's clockwise or high bar's counterclockwise).
 - In the Rhythmic Events, to gain Energy more easily, begin the strokes
 from the middle of the Touch Screen. Don't rush, because errors can cause
 delays that cost more Energy. For an even easier time, change every move
 to a Speed Move with high Tech Points (like the Scissor Jump). As ridiculous
 as the routine may look, it will cost very little Energy yet guarantee
 maximum Tech Points and maximum Style Stars, lol.
 - The Team Cheer (available beginning from Chapter 5) is an extra
 opportunity to gain Energy for only the first part of an Event.
 When each word bubble turns white, tap on it. (Despite what the
 Tutorial says, there is actually no need to drag the word bubbles
 in the indicated directions. Continuously tapping on the word bubbles
 guarantees success.) The Team Cheer's phrase depends on the Chapter,
 with longer phrases potentially yielding more Energy. Missing the
 Team Cheer doesn't really matter, because the heroines can still
 gain Energy via the standard way.
 - Access to the next Chapter is awarded upon the basic completion
 of the latest Chapter, by reaching at least 1 Goal in every Event
 in that Chapter. Access to Helena, Tess, Beatrix, and Arianna is
 awarded upon the completion of Chapters 1 through 4.
 - The best performance in an Event in terms of the Bronze, Silver, and Gold
 Goals is saved over any previous performance. For example, if the heroines
 attain only the Bronze and Silver Goals in one session and then attain only
 the Silver and Gold Goals in a following session, the game will discard the
 former results and keep the latter results (losing the earlier Bronze Goal).
 - All of the heroines are equal in ability and play the same. (They even
 have the same Tutorials.) Their progress through the story and in the
 Goals is shared, but attaining a Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all currently
 available heroines to each finish an Event in that Chapter while using
 certain cosmetic options that are loosely connected to the story. Replaying
 the Vault Events (where available) is the fastest way to accomplish this.
 - At the Chapter Select Menu, the Locker Room (on the Top Screen) records
 the heroines as they have each appeared upon their most recent completion
 of an Event in the highlighted Chapter (not necessarily their current
 appearance settings). This can be helpful for gauging the progress toward
 the Bonus Goals. After the Bonus Goals are attained, the Chapters can be
 replayed again to change the Locker Room's records to the heart's desire.
 - To earn all items, fully complete the Chapters by reaching all Goals.
 - The game automatically saves the heroines' progress and various settings.
 The Main Menu or the Chapter Select Menu is a safe spot to turn off the game.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.0] Prologue
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Heroine: (speaking on phone)
 Yeah, mom, I'm all packed.
 Wouldn't want to miss my first day of training at
 the gymnastics academy.
 I'll be training under the legendary gymnast
 Shannon Miller!
 This could be my big break.
 Don't worry about me. You're the one pulling duty
 overseas in the Army. I'm worried about you!
 (There is a car honk.)
 Heroine: (speaking on phone)
 Kristin's already here-- I'll talk to you later. Love
 you, Mom!
 (The heroine and Kristin arrive at the academy.)
 Heroine:
 Wow, this place looks so much nicer than our high
 school gym.
 Kristin:
 You'll become a pro gymnast in no time!
 Heroine:
 Thanks. I can't believe I'm going to go the whole
 summer without seeing you.
 Kristin:
 Don't worry. I'm sure you'll make lots of new
 friends here.
 Heroine:
 Yeah. Well, thanks for the ride.
 Kristin:
 Have fun training. I'll say hi to the beach for ya!
 Bye!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.1] Chapter 1: Meet the Coach
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 (The heroine meets Arianna.)
 Heroine:
 Hi, I'm new here, and a bit lost.
 Arianna:
 You sure came to the right person-- I'm Arianna:
 world-class gymnast and ballet dancer
 extraordinaire.
 Heroine:
 Wow, well it's... good to meet you. Any idea
 where I can find Shannon Miller?
 Arianna:
 Yup! She's in the gym right now. I'll show you the
 way so you don't get lost.
 (The heroine and Arianna go to the gymnasium.)
 Shannon:
 All right, ladies, back to work! I'm all about having
 fun, but we're here to train hard too.
 Hey, you must be [Heroine]. Welcome! It's always
 great to see rising stars at the academy.
 Heroine:
 I can't believe I'm being trained by "the" Shannon
 Miller, the most decorated American gymnast
 ever!
 Shannon:
 Just call me Coach.
 Ready to get started? Suit up and let's see what
 you can do.
Team Cheer:
 (none)
Goals: Floor Exercise Training (Floor)
 Bronze: Charge 8 points of energy.
 Silver: Perform 2 technique moves.
 Gold  : Receive 10/20 points.
 Bonus : Ready for Gymnastics: Try on a new leotard.
General Hints:
 The first Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 wear a non-default Leotard upon completing the Event. One way to do
 this is to use a Custom Leotard for every heroine. This Bonus Goal
 is easier to reach at the beginning, before the heroine's new friends
 become available as playable characters.
Rewards:
 Floor: Small Hairband, Stars 4, Stars 1, Stars 2, Stars 3, Stars 5.
 Bonus: Striped Hairband.
Story:
 Shannon:
 Great job! You definitely know your fundamentals.
 Next, we'll have you try the vault and meet your
 teammates.
 But first, let's take a picture for the board. Say
 cheese!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.2] Chapter 2: Vaulting Ahead
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Helena:
 Hey, you must be the new girl! Mind if I call ya
 Newbie?
 You can call me Helena, because that's my name.
 So get used to it!
 Heroine:
 Nice to meet you. I like your hair, by the way.
 Helena:
 Thanks! I can show you how to do it sometime.
 This summer is going to be so much fun!
 You here to try the vault? It's where I really shine.
 Heroine:
 Yeah, I--
 Helena:
 Sorry if I talk too much. Everyone says I have a
 big mouth and don't know when to stop talking.
 Ha!
 Anyway, it's vault time! Check out my awesome
 moves!
 (Helena performs a vault.)
 Heroine:
 Wow, that's pretty cool. You'll have to teach me
 how to do that.
 Shannon:
 Now that you mention it...
 Being trained by your teammates would be a good
 way to meet the team.
 Helena:
 Just call me Professor Helena! Ready to learn how
 to vault like a pro, Newbie?
 Don't be shy now-- you probably won't land on
 your neck!
Team Cheer:
 (none)
Goals: Vault Training (Vault)
 Bronze: Perform 2 speed moves.
 Silver: Achieve a chain of 2 moves.
 Gold  : Receive 2 stars.
 Bonus : Hairstyle Fun: Do each other's hair to match!
General Hints:
 The second Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 have the same Hairstyle upon completing the Event. (They may still keep
 their different Hair Colors.)
Rewards:
 Vault: White Legwarmers, Dots, Stripes 1, Stripes 2, Stripes 3, Checker.
 Bonus: Tiger Hairband.
Story:
 Helena:
 See? I knew you wouldn't land on your head! You
 were like ZOOM and then WHOOSH!
 I'd better watch out-- I might not be the vault
 master around here much longer with you around!
 Shannon:
 Just remember that some of the moves can be
 dangerous if you get careless.
 Take the time to make sure you stick your
 landings perfectly.
 Helena:
 Yeah, what she said.
 Oh man, you gotta meet Tess and the other girls!
 Come on, I'll introduce you!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.3] Chapter 3: Balancing Act
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 (Tess performs on the beam.)
 Helena:
 Hey Tess, you gotta meet the new girl!
 (Tess falls off the beam.)
 Tess:
 Aah! Helena!
 Helena:
 Oh, I'm not throwing off your balance, am I?
 Tess:
 Hardly. And hey there-- I'm Tess.
 I see you met Helena. I hope you're not too
 overwhelmed by the experience.
 She's a lot of fun even if she is a bit crazy.
 Helena:
 Yeah, crazy talented!
 Tess:
 Let's get you started on the balance beam.
 Before you begin, it'd be smart to try on some
 accessories.
 A hair band keeps the hair out of your eyes and
 your focus on the beam.
 Also makes you look great too, of course!
Team Cheer:
 (none)
Goals: Balance Beam Training (Beam)
 Bronze: Charge 10 points of energy.
 Silver: Perform a dismount successfully.
 Gold  : Perform 3 poise moves.
 Bonus : Useful Accessories: Try on some accessories.
General Hints:
 The third Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 wear at least one Accessory upon completing the Event. One way to do
 this is to wear the Small Hairband for every heroine.
 In the Beam Events, to gain Energy more easily, begin by placing
 the Stylus around the necks of the heroines, and then drag it
 to follow the handprint symbol as it continuously appears on
 the heroines' left hands.
Rewards:
 Beam: Wrist Guards, Butterfly 4, Butterfly 1, Butterfly 2, Butterfly 3,
       Butterfly 5.
 Bonus: Cute Watch.
Story:
 Tess:
 Nice work! I'm glad to have you on my team.
 Heroine:
 Thanks! Me too.
 Shannon:
 Well girls, it seems that the gym hasn't been set
 up entirely for the summer.
 Looks like we'll need to assemble the uneven
 bars ourselves.
 With teamwork it shouldn't take long, so let's get
 to it!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.4] Chapter 4: Putting It Together
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Heroine:
 Who is that?
 Tess:
 Her name's Beatrix. She's also new. Don't know
 much about her, but I've heard she's really
 talented.
 Helena:
 Hey Bea, we're here to help! Let's do this, team!
 (The team sets up the uneven bars.)
 Shannon:
 All right, looks like we've got this set up safe and
 secure. Who wants to try it out?
 Helena:
 I vote Beatrix! Come on Bea-- show us what you
 got!
 Beatrix:
 Okay, I'll do it.
 (Beatrix performs on the uneven bars.)
 Heroine:
 Wow, that's awesome! Coach, you need to teach
 me how to be that good.
Team Cheer:
 (none)
Goals: Uneven Bars Training (Uneven Bars)
 Bronze: Perform a move on the high bar.
 Silver: Perform 1 power move.
 Gold  : Perform 1 of each type of move.
 Bonus : Gymnastics Butterflies: Wear butterfly pattern leotards.
General Hints:
 The fourth Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 wear a Butterfly Print Leotard upon completing the Event. One way to do
 this is to use Butterfly 1 for every heroine. (They may still keep their
 different Leotard Colors.)
 The Gold Goal requires the performance of each of the four types of moves:
 Speed (Green), Technique (Blue), Poise (Yellow), and Power (Red).
Rewards:
 Uneven Bars: Pink Wristbands, Lightning 4, Lightning 1, Lightning 2,
              Lightning 3, Lightning 5.
 Bonus: Friendship Bracelets.
Story:
 Heroine:
 Hey, I should more properly introduce myself
 since I'm new here too. I'm [Heroine].
 You'll have to teach me more of those awesome
 moves sometime.
 Shannon:
 All right girls, we've only got a few more things
 to do today, so let's get to it!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.5] Chapter 5: Meet the Team
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Shannon:
 Thanks for helping set up, team. We're ready to
 really get our summer started.
 Arianna:
 I'm so excited! We're going to work on rhythmics
 gymnastics now.
 It's my favorite, since I can show off my skills as
 a ballet dancer.
 Helena:
 Ex-ballet dancer, you mean. You quit ballet a long
 time ago!
 Shannon:
 Now girls, don't be hard on her. You're a team
 now remember?
 We need to be unified if we want to win. Which
 reminds me-- we're going to need matching
 uniforms!
 Arianna:
 Hey [Heroine], I'm gonna show you how rhythmic
 gymnastics is done.
Team Cheer:
 "Let's go team!"
Goals: Rhythmics Gymnastics Training (Rhythmic)
 Bronze: Chain 3 speed moves.
 Silver: Charge 2 energy points in the team cheer.
 Gold  : Customize a move in your routine.
 Bonus : Unified as a Team: Make your gymnasts' leotards match!
General Hints:
 The fifth Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 wear an exactly identical Leotard upon completing the Event. One way
 to do this is to use the same Custom Leotard, which will have its own
 Print and Color settings.
 The Team Cheer is an extra opportunity to gain Energy for only the
 first part of the Event. When each word bubble turns white, tap on
 it. (Despite what the Tutorial says, there is actually no need to
 drag the word bubbles in the indicated directions. Continuously tapping
 on the word bubbles guarantees success.)
 The Bronze Goal requires 3 Speed Moves to be performed cumulatively,
 not necessarily in immediate succession.
 The Gold Goal requires at least one deviation from the Template's
 default settings. The easiest way to do this is to drag a dot to
 swap its placement with another dot in the same part.
Rewards:
 Rhythmic: Nice Barrettes, Diamonds 4, Diamonds 1, Diamonds 2, Diamonds 3,
           Diamonds 5.
 Bonus: Tiara.
Story:
 Arianna:
 Hey, that was pretty good! You've got style.
 Heroine:
 Thanks!
 Shannon:
 I think we've had a great first day of training, so
 let's call it a night.
 How about we kick back, relax, and watch a
 movie. What do you say?
 Heroine:
 Yay! Movie night!
 Kristin: (message on the heroine's phone)
 U MADE ANY FRIENDS THERE
 YET?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.6] Chapter 6: Clear Your Mind
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Heroine:
 The vault always makes me a little nervous.
 You're always so calm and focused, Tess. How do
 you do it?
 Tess:
 I just clear my mind, forget everything that could
 go wrong, and focus on how I'm going to do it
 perfectly.
 Don't worry about the crowd, the judges, the
 scores or anything else.
 Now that I think about it, that must be why
 Helena's so good at the vault.
 She doesn't worry about anything, even high
 speed flips!
 Helena:
 They call me "Fearless Helena".
 Heroine:
 I've never heard anyone call you that.
 Helena:
 Well they should. It sounds cool.
 Tess:
 Making sure you have the right equipment can
 help put your mind at ease and help you focus
 too.
 Helena:
 Yeah, and definitely don't think about the Gym
 Rockets.
 You know, that team that always wins every
 year?
 Heroine:
 There's a team that always wins?
 Helena:
 Yeah but don't worry about them. I bet we can
 take 'em!
 Tess:
 Speaking of focus, let's get back to work. We've
 got a lot of moves to practice!
Team Cheer:
 "Let's have fun!"
Goals: Shoot for the Stars (Floor, Vault, Beam, Rhythmic)
 Bronze: Perform 2 Technique moves.
 Silver: Perform 3 technique moves.
 Gold  : Perform 4 technique moves.
 Bonus : Gymnastics Gear: Try on more than one accessory.
General Hints:
 The sixth Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 wear at least two Accessories upon completing an Event. One way to do
 this is to wear the Small Hairband and the Wrist Guards for every heroine.
 Tess introduces the twist modifier. Twists can be added to moves
 (by performing circle strokes prior to the standard strokes) to
 increase those moves' Tech Points without costing any additional
 Energy. However, twist-modified Technique Moves can prevent the
 use of Power Moves in the Beam Events and the Uneven Bars Events.
 Twists can also be frustratingly unresponsive. If they can't be
 recognized after several attempts, just proceed without them to
 maintain the current combo.
Rewards:
 Floor: Spiral 1, Spiral 2.
 Vault: Spiral 3.
 Beam: Spiral 4, Spiral 5.
 Rhythmic: Thick Hairband.
 Bonus: Hoop Earrings.
Story:
 Heroine:
 Hey, Beatrix!
 Beatrix:
 Oh, hi!
 Heroine:
 We were all talking earlier about how to deal with
 pressure and distractions when performing.
 Since you're so good at that, I wanna know how
 you deal with it.
 Beatrix:
 I don't know. It just sort of happens...
 When I'm moving fast, everything else slows
 down, and that's when I can really think.
 Heroine:
 Wow, sounds nice. Wish that worked for me.
 I can't stop thinking about all the people watching
 and judging me.
 All the small mistakes that could cost me points...
 After hearing about that other team that always
 wins, I just don't know if I'm good enough, you
 know?
 Beatrix:
 You shouldn't worry about that. You're a great
 gymnast.
 Heroine:
 Thanks, Bea.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.7] Chapter 7: Finding Support
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Arianna:
 Hey Beatrix, how come you're always so quiet?
 Beatrix:
 I don't know. I never feel like I have anything
 interesting to say...
 Heroine:
 But you're awesome at the uneven bars! How
 about you give us some tips?
 Beatrix:
 Okay, um, well, I like to chain a lot of quick
 moves together to build up a lot of speed.
 It's a great way to add style to your routine.
 Heroine:
 Thanks, I'll give it a try right now!
 See? You should speak up more often.
Team Cheer:
 "One two three go!"
Goals: As Fast as You Can (Floor, Vault, Uneven Bars, Rhythmic)
 Bronze: Achieve a chain of 3 moves.
 Silver: Achieve a chain of 4 moves.
 Gold  : Achieve 2 chains of 4 moves.
 Bonus : Fast as Lightning: Wear lightning bolt pattern leotards.
General Hints:
 The seventh Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 wear a Lightning Print Leotard upon completing an Event. One way to do
 this is to use Lightning 1 for every heroine. (They may still keep their
 different Leotard Colors.)
 The Silver Goal and the Gold Goal require the performance of four-move
 combos. For the Uneven Bars, one way to do this is to keep performing
 two Speed Moves, a Technique Move, and then a Speed Move. For the Vault,
 the landing counts as the fourth move.
Rewards:
 Floor: Hearts 1, Hearts 2.
 Vault: Hearts 3.
 Uneven Bars: Hearts 4, Hearts 5.
 Rhythmic: Green and Blue Wristbands.
 Bonus: Pretty Scarf.
Story:
 (Beatrix gathers her confidence and approaches the heroine.)
 Beatrix:
 Hi, [Heroine].
 Heroine:
 Hey, Beatrix. What's up?
 Beatrix:
 I just, um, wanted to say you did really well at
 practice today.
 Heroine:
 Oh, well thank you! Your tips were a big help.
 Beatrix:
 You're welcome.
 (The heroine's phone rings.)
 Heroine:
 Hello? Mom! How are you? You okay?
 That's good. I miss you so much. When are you
 coming home?
 We're going to be competing soon. I wish you
 could be there.
 I'm kinda nervous-- they're the biggest
 competitions I've ever been in.
 I know I shouldn't be worried. I'll be fine. Just...
 cheer for me, okay?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.8] Chapter 8: Tough Enough?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Shannon:
 Okay girls, the big competitions are coming up.
 The judges will want to see you give it
 everything you've got.
 Arianna:
 Ugh, I'm already giving this everything I've got.
 This training feels like boot camp sometimes.
 Tess:
 Actually, that's not surprising. Gymnastics
 originated from military training regimens.
 For example, ancient soldiers invented what
 became the vault to practice mounting their
 horses.
 Helena:
 Geez Dr. Knowledge, where do you learn all this
 stuff?
 Tess:
 Hey, I like to read. I figure if I'm doing this much
 gymnastics, I should know something about it.
 Heroine:
 My mom has told me what real boot camp is like. I
 don't think our training is that tough.
 Shannon:
 I know these workouts can be hard, but they can
 also be a lot of fun.
 Take the challenge and run with it!
 Don't think of it as an obstacle in the way, but
 one you can overcome.
 Never set limits on yourself-- if you're
 determined enough, I believe you can reach any
 goal you make.
 You girls have a lot of heart. I know you can do
 it.
Team Cheer:
 "We can do it!"
Goals: Push Yourself (Floor, Beam, Uneven Bars, Rhythmic)
 Bronze: Perform 3 poise moves.
 Silver: Perform 4 poise moves.
 Gold  : Perform 5 poise moves.
 Bonus : A lot of Heart: Try a little red in your leotard designs.
General Hints:
 The eighth Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 have Red as her Leotard's Primary Color or Secondary Color upon completing
 an Event. (If the heroines are using Custom Leotards, the Red doesn't even
 need to be drawn, lol.)
 To enable Poise Moves, the heroines may need to first perform crouches or
 other preparatory moves (white arrow strokes).
Rewards:
 Floor: Flame 2.
 Beam: Flame 1, Flame 3.
 Uneven Bars: Flame 4, Flame 5.
 Rhythmic: Butterfly Barrettes.
 Bonus: Fancy Necklace.
Story:
 Shannon:
 That wraps up practice for today.
 There's still plenty more to do, but for now let's
 relax with some free time tonight.
 Arianna:
 Done already? I could still do more. I am the
 queen of perseverance.
 Helena:
 You? Ha!
 You were the one who was whining about our
 training regimen being too hard earlier today!
 Arianna:
 I got through it okay, didn't I?
 Tess:
 Helena's just saying that you can't really claim to
 be the queen of perseverance if you complain
 about it.
 Helena:
 Just like you can't claim to be a ballet dancer
 either when you're not.
 Why you always gotta stretch the truth?
 Beatrix:
 Hey, leave her alone!
 Shannon:
 Girls, relax! You've got the night off. Let's make
 it a good one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.9] Chapter 9: Too Much Style
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Arianna:
 Hey, [Heroine], isn't that my bag?
 Heroine:
 Is it? Oh, sorry. I guess I grabbed the wrong one.
 Arianna:
 Well, give it back!
 Shannon:
 This is it-- the first competition. The big leagues.
 You'll need to be extra flashy to impress the
 judges.
 Try chaining moves together for a high score
 with a lot of style.
 Helena:
 They want something flashy, huh? Let's see what
 they think of this...
 (Helena crashes into something.)
 Heroine:
 Helena! You okay?!
 Helena:
 Yeah, except for my pride.
 Arianna:
 You could have been seriously injured! Did you
 even think about what would happen then?
 It would have hurt the whole team's chances to
 win!
 If I have to miss out on winning this competition
 because you wanted to show off...
 Helena:
 Glad you're so concerned about my health, Arianna.
 Shannon:
 Hey! Hey! Girls-- come on!
 Get out there and focus your energy on your
 gymnastics, not each other.
 (The city venue is located at a concourse among the nighttime streets.
 Large, colorful signs with gymnastics motifs are found on the buildings.)
Team Cheer:
 "Show them what we got!"
Goals: Big City Style (Vault, Beam, Uneven Bars, Rhythmic)
 Bronze: Receive 3 stars.
 Silver: Receive 4 stars.
 Gold  : Receive 4 1/2 stars.
 Bonus : Individuality: Make each of your gymnasts' leotards different!
General Hints:
 The ninth Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 wear a Leotard that is different from the others' upon completing an Event.
 One way to do this is to use a different Custom Leotard with different
 Leotard Colors for every heroine.
 The Gold Goal requires the gaining of enough Energy and the performance
 of enough appropriate combos. For most of the Events, one way to do
 this is to keep performing two Speed Moves, a Technique Move, and then
 a Power Move as much as possible.
Rewards:
 Vault: Cow, Zebra.
 Beam: Leopard.
 Uneven Bars: Giraffe, Snake Skin.
 Rhythmic: Striped Legwarmers.
 Bonus: Dangle Earrings.
Story:
 Kristin:
 Hey [Heroine]! You did great out there!
 Heroine:
 You came to watch me? Aww, that's so cool--
 thank you!
 Wanna get a bite to eat? It'd be great to hear
 about your summer so far.
 Arianna:
 ...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.A] Chapter 10: The Pressure
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Arianna:
 [Heroine], did you have fun with your friend the
 other night while we were all practicing?
 Heroine:
 What are you trying to say? Kristin just came to
 support me, that's all.
 Arianna:
 Oh no reason, just wondering where your
 priorities lie...
 Helena:
 Are you really one to talk about commitment, miss
 I-quit-ballet?
 Arianna:
 Hey, my dance studio didn't approve of my
 gymnastics and made me choose one. I had to
 quit!
 I gave up my love of ballet to do this. How
 dare you question my commitment!
 Shannon:
 Girls, I can't believe you're fighting right now.
 We're in the middle of competing. I need you to
 put your differences aside and keep it together!
 Your teammates are there to support you. To be
 there when you need them.
 They let your strengths shine, and show you who
 you can be.
 Trust them, and in turn they will trust you.
 I know you girls have what it takes to win, but
 you need to work together.
 Now get out there and act like a team!
 (The dojo venue is a gymnasium with elements of traditional Japanese design.
 Outside the open doors, sakura and torii can be seen.)
Team Cheer:
 "We're the best!"
Goals: Gymnastics Dojo Competition (Floor, Vault, Beam, Rhythmic)
 Bronze: Receive 14/20 points.
 Silver: Receive 15/20 points.
 Gold  : Receive 16/20 points.
 Bonus : Stormy Weather: Try a little black in your leotard designs.
General Hints:
 The tenth Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 have Black as her Leotard's Primary Color or Secondary Color upon completing
 an Event. (If the heroines are using Custom Leotards, the Black doesn't even
 need to be drawn, lol.)
Rewards:
 Floor: Ice 1, Ice 2.
 Vault: Ice 3.
 Beam: Ice 4, Ice 5.
 Rhythmic: Heart Barrettes.
 Bonus: Crown.
Story:
 Heroine:
 I'm sorry you're upset, coach.
 Shannon:
 You girls have a lot of potential to make it to the
 top.
 I don't want to see you fall apart before you can
 get there.
 Heroine:
 I think we're just under a lot of pressure, that's
 all.
 Shannon:
 That's true. But you have to rise above it and not
 let it get to you. That kind of stress isn't healthy.
 Gymnastics can be a challenging sport, but that
 should be what makes it fun, not unbearable.
 Heroine:
 Come on guys, we need to stop fighting or we'll
 never win.
 Let's not let the pressure get the best of us.
 What do you say?
 Heroine, Helena, Arianna:
 Let's go team!
 Heroine:
 All right, now let's make up and go for the gold!
 Arianna:
 I'm really sorry for the way I acted.
 After losing ballet, I really want to win this, and I
 guess I let those feelings get in the way.
 Helena:
 It's okay, Arianna. I shouldn't have provoked you
 either.
 But hey, water under the bridge, right? We've got
 events to win!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.B] Chapter 11: Just Relax!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Shannon:
 Since the stress from the competitions seems to
 be getting to everyone, I have a surprise for you
 all...
 Put on your swimsuits, girls. We're going to
 practice at the beach!
 Heroine:
 THE BEACH?! Hooray!
 (The team goes to the beach.)
 Kristin:
 Hey, [Heroine]!
 Heroine:
 You're here too? This day just keeps getting
 better!
 Kristin:
 Sure! I'm here to cheer you guys on, and how
 could I pass up another day at the beach?
 Heroine:
 You can help set up and meet the rest of the
 team. Come on!
 (The beach venue is decorated with pleasant cafes and exotic statues.
 The warm sun hovers above the horizon, while several sailboats float
 over the calm waters. The volcano in the distance is actually erupting,
 with streams of lava slowly but visibly flowing down its sides, lol.)
Team Cheer:
 "We love the beach!"
Goals: Beachside Fun (Floor, Beam, Uneven Bars, Rhythmic)
 Bronze: Receive 4 stars.
 Silver: Receive 4 1/2 stars.
 Gold  : Receive 5 stars.
 Bonus : Swimsuit Fun: Put on swimsuits for your day at the beach!
General Hints:
 The eleventh Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 wear a Leotard that doesn't cover any of the limbs upon completing an Event.
 Use Leotard Shape 2 or Leotard Shape 5 for every heroine.
Rewards:
 Floor: Floral 1, Floral 2.
 Beam: Floral 3, Floral 4.
 Uneven Bars: Floral 5.
 Rhythmic: Star Legwarmers, Star Barrettes.
 Bonus: Cool Sunglasses.
Story:
 Shannon:
 Okay everyone, tomorrow is the World
 Championship Finals.
 Don't worry-- you're all amazing gymnasts and I'm
 sure you'll do fine.
 To help get you excited for the games
 tomorrow, [Heroine] is going to do a special cheer.
 Heroine:
 All right team, we're going to compete tomorrow,
 and it's going to be hard.
 Arianna, Tess, Beatrix:
 Aww!
 Heroine:
 ...But we're going to win!
 Arianna, Tess, Beatrix:
 Hooray!
 Heroine:
 ...Then it'll all be over.
 Arianna, Tess, Beatrix:
 Aww!
 Heroine:
 ...Because we'll have won everything!
 Arianna, Tess, Beatrix:
 Hooray!
 Heroine:
 ...Except as many medals as Shannon Miller.
 Arianna, Tess, Beatrix:
 Aww!
 Heroine:
 ...But we can win twice as many!
 Arianna, Tess, Beatrix:
 Hooray!
 Shannon:
 Well girls, if you want to break my records, this
 competition is a great place to start.
 Let's go out there and win tomorrow!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.C] Chapter 12: Final Competition
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Reporter:
 I'm here at the World Championship Gymnastics
 Finals with the team that legendary gymnast
 Shannon Miller has been coaching.
 Girls, what can you tell us about your team?
 Beatrix:
 We're the best, and we're going to win.
 Reporter:
 Well there you have it-- Shannon Miller's team,
 which has been sweeping its way through the
 competition.
 Let's see if they have what it takes to win the
 gold.
 Shannon:
 Okay girls, it's game time, so this is it.
 The judges at this level are tough, so shoot for
 the highest score you can.
 Heroine:
 Look at their scores! The Gym Rockets are just
 as tough as you guys said.
 Shannon:
 I know you girls can beat them, and don't let
 anyone tell you differently.
 Good luck, and know that I'm proud of you either
 way.
 Let's get out there and show them we're
 champions!
 (The hotel venue is a richly adorned lobby, complete with
 magnificent chandeliers. This hotel has been seen earlier,
 when Shannon has been talking about going to the beach.)
Team Cheer:
 "Go for the gold!"
Goals: Gala Hotel: Final Showdown (Vault, Beam, Uneven Bars, Rhythmic)
 Bronze: Receive 18/20 points.
 Silver: Receive 19/20 points.
 Gold  : Receive 20/20 points.
 Bonus : Something Special: Try wearing one of the special items.
General Hints:
 The twelfth Chapter's Bonus Goal requires all available heroines to each
 wear at least one Accessory that has been obtained from other Bonus Goals
 upon completing an Event. Use an Accessory like the Striped Hairband,
 the Tiger Hairband, the Tiara, or the Cool Sunglasses for every heroine.
 The Gold Goal requires the gaining of enough Energy and the performance of
 enough appropriate combos. For the Beam Event, gaining the maximum amount
 of Energy and then spending most of it on Technique Moves and Power Moves
 (preferably with two twists for the latter) in all three parts is essential.
Rewards:
 Vault: Formal 2.
 Beam: Formal 1, Formal 3.
 Uneven Bars: Formal 4, Formal 5.
 Rhythmic: Spotted Legwarmers.
 Bonus: Butterfly Wings.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2.D] Epilogue
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story:
 Heroine:
 We did it! We won!
 Shannon:
 I'm so proud of all of you!
 Mom:
 I can't believe my daughter is a world champion
 gymnast!
 Heroine:
 Mom! You're back!
 Mom:
 Just in time to see you win the gold, too. You did
 wonderful!
 I'm really sorry I've been gone so long.
 Heroine:
 It's okay, mom. Not your fault. And besides...
 ...I had friends, a coach and a team there for me
 this whole time.
 Shannon:
 And speaking of support-- I've heard from several
 colleges interested in giving you girls scholarships.
 Tess:
 We're getting scholarships? That's so cool!
 Helena:
 Hear that, Newbie? We'll go to college and I can
 call you Roomie instead!
 You're not much of a newbie anymore anyway.
 Tess:
 It was great working together, everyone. We
 made a great team.
 Arianna:
 You say that like it's over! There's always the
 Olympics...
 Heroine:
 Yeah, and you know what that means...
 Tess, Arianna, Heroine:
 Let's go team!
 (The game will display the Staff Credits. Unlike the Main Menu's Credits,
 this version can't be skipped.)
[5.2] Really Small Details That Make Little Girls Remain Close Together
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Heroine's Adaptability
 The story implies that Helena is the best at Vault Events,
 Tess at Balance Beam Events, Beatrix at Uneven Bars Events,
 and Arianna at Rhythmic Events. So, is the heroine supposed
 to be the best at Floor Events?
Helena's Boldness
 In the Vault Events, if no stroke is made, the heroines will perform
 an unlisted 0-point leaping move similar to what happens in Gym Rockets,
 except the automatic landing here will be a stumbling one. For some reason,
 the crowds will still clap lightly. We guess that any encouragement is
 better than none, lol.
Tess' Control
 In the Balance Beam Events, at the Harmony Gymnastics Academy, the crowds
 are actually standing outside the building. The interior's layout and
 the camerawork there may necessitate such a weird arrangement, but,
 hey, it beats having everyone crammed into that upper booth in the
 Uneven Bars Events. It also beats the fountain's water (seen at the
 Main Menu) not being animated. What is wrong with this entire place?
Beatrix's Skill
 In the Uneven Bars Events, the heroines gain Energy by immediately
 pulling off multiple large swings. We aren't sure if that is how
 gymnasts begin their sets of moves on the bars in real life.
Arianna's Grace
 In the Rhythmic Events, when the heroines are gaining Energy, the flourish
 they perform is the Swan from Gym Rockets. The ribbon has a color that
 matches those of the chosen Template's background imagery, too. (In the
 Intro Movie, Arianna is the only character who has a glint on her feet
 instead of her hands or wrists. Does that represent her ballet background?)
Shannon's Awesomeness
 Several of the game's later Accessories include things like the
 Fancy Necklace and the Dangle Earrings, which one would expect
 to swing all around and get in the wearer's way. No sensible gymnast
 would hinder herself with them, unless she is a videogame heroine.
Tammy's Command
 Don't like the crowds generating noise at the beginning of an Event?
 Pausing will silence the crowd cheering.
Beverly's Recovery
 Unlike in Gym Rockets, making invalid strokes in Gymnast won't ruin the
 combos. Simply tapping the Touch Screen instead of drawing full strokes
 during an Event results in a valid confirmation sound, even if there
 are no other apparent effects.
Lauren's Vanity
 The back of the game's case states that there are Accessories that
 can improve the heroines' performance. Whoops. Like in Gym Rockets,
 the Accessories in Gymnast have a purely cosmetic function.
Melissa's Sweetness
 Using some Leotard Prints will add a greater sheen to the heroines' skin.
 We guess that those Prints make the heroines more excited and cause them
 to sweat more or something. XD
Krezzy Comparisons
 Just for fun, let's compare the Gym Rockets with the Harmony Gymnasts.
